Skátalaug is in Krísuvík, near the geyser aria Selbúð. The water is originated from a hot spring source not far away and the temperature is around 34 °C. The water flow ends in a small hot spring which is about 2.5 m in diameter from there it runs to a bigger hot spring. When we did try this pool it was not all that warm and it was a bit dirty, but worth to try. In the same trip we did walk around the Selbúð area and around Hverahlíð witch is at the end of the lake Kleifarvatn.
